We got there early, before 10 am, and had a number one parking place. With a sunny Sunday day forecast we knew the crowds would be coming soon.
We went to the High School Regional rodeo finals that was being held in the Coliseum for about an hour and then we walked the streets some to the General Store on Main and Exchange.
After that is was time for the tourism inspired cow heard drive.
Lunch was at RISCKY'S 's BBQ
We then checked out the shops at Stockyards Station
Watched some folks try the mechanical bull
....and finally, the Amon Carter Museum. Tremendous collection of Frederick Remington and Charles Russell. Click here for website.
This section chronicles adventures away from home and includes some Americana.
